For those unfamiliar with Pinterest, it is –

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes.

Each image you pin, if pinned correctly, links back to the original source. If you don’t want your own images to be pinned, there is html “no pin” code you can add to your site. It’s found on the Pinterest site.

Donna Hay Magazine

Update – Christmas has come early thanks to my mother-in-law Emma. Thank you Emma! Looking forward to the first delivery.

This year I’m asking Santa for a subscription to Donna Hay Magazine. The photography is always amazing, I’ve always found it inspiring. Take a sneak peak here. Imagine receiving a homemade selection of cookies like on the cover of the current issue!

Four Years, 250 Posts

Four years ago, I started a little blog with a recipe and a very average-looking photo of some very average-looking cupcakes. I thought it might be fun to combine my hobby of baking with my passion for images. I was right, I do enjoy it – and I enjoy having people read it. Over time, I started posting not just about baking, but also about my other creative pastimes – mainly crocheting and sewing. There aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the crafting I would like to do!
This is still a little blog but I hope to continue it for as long as I still enjoy posting. I appreciate everyone who takes time to comment or ask questions. Thanks for reading!

No Bun In This Oven. (No cake, cookie or pudding either)

On Wednesday morning I was making green velvet cupcakes for St Patrick’s Day when the poor little oven lost its thermostat. Literally, it fell off. The thermostat had been in a bad way since we moved in, hanging precariously from the inside if the oven. On Wednesday it just couldn’t take it anymore, the thermostat boke away and fell to the bottom of the oven. Friday came with an electrician and a new thermostat. Hurrah! Until Friday night when the poor little oven wouldn’t turn off . The temperature dial now likes to spin and spin with no rhyme or reason. Another call to the electrician and we may be without the poor little oven for a week.

Of course, today the idea to bake something has popped into my head about 64 times. Followed by a d’oh!
